The Grand Canyon is rather large. 15 miles from rim to rim, 1 vertical mile from rim to river!
We hiked from the rim down to Plateau Point, which is just shy of a vertical kilometer down. Unfortunately that meant that we then had to get back up to the rim, which is a lot harder than getting down.
Then a helicopter flight that was $230 dollars very well spent. 40 minutes of flying over some of the most amazing scenery in the world.
